Every learning experience is designed around what our students should be able to demonstrate as future chemical engineers.

At Chemical Engineering UKWMS, learning is not measured only by final grades. Each course is designed around specific Course Learning Outcomes (CPMK), which collectively contribute to the achievement of the Program Learning Outcomes (CPL). Through this approach, students progressively develop the knowledge, engineering skills, professional competencies, and attitudes expected of Chemical Engineering graduates.

Our Program Learning Outcomes

What will you be able to do when you graduate?

These outcomes define the knowledge, skills, and professional attributes that every Chemical Engineering graduate is expected to demonstrate.

CPL 01 — Engineering Problem Solving

Students integrate mathematics, natural sciences, and chemical engineering principles to identify, formulate, analyze, and solve complex engineering problems using appropriate data and modern tools.

CPL 02 — Engineering Design & Sustainability

Students design processes, systems, and engineering solutions by considering technical performance, safety, economic feasibility, environmental impact, and sustainability throughout the decision-making process.

CPL 03 — Experimentation & Data Analysis

Students plan and conduct experiments, use appropriate measurement techniques, analyze and interpret data, and draw evidence-based conclusions to support engineering decisions.

CPL 04 — Communication

Students communicate engineering ideas, analyses, and solutions clearly through written reports, technical presentations, visual information, and professional discussions with different audiences.

CPL 05 — Teamwork & Project Management

Students work effectively as members or leaders of a team, coordinate responsibilities, manage project activities, collaborate across different perspectives, and contribute toward shared engineering goals.

CPL 06 — Professionalism & Ethics

Students demonstrate professional responsibility, ethical judgment, integrity, and awareness of the social, environmental, safety, and societal consequences of engineering decisions.

CPL 07 — Digital Competency & Lifelong Learning

Students use digital technologies and engineering tools effectively, independently acquire new knowledge, evaluate emerging developments, and continuously develop their competencies throughout their professional careers.

Continuous Improvement

Assessment results are periodically evaluated to identify strengths and areas for improvement. The findings are used to improve learning activities, assessment methods, course content, and, when necessary, the curriculum itself.
