Program Description
Are you a high school student curious about science, technology, and real laboratory research?
The Research Internship Program offers an exciting opportunity for high school students to experience university-level research in Chemical Engineering. Participants will work closely with lecturers, take part in active research projects, and discover how science and engineering are applied to solve real-world challenges. This program is designed to inspire future scientists and engineers by providing hands-on research experience in a supportive academic environment.
🧪 Program Tracks:
1. Full Internship Program (FREE)
A comprehensive internship experience during the school holiday period (1–2 months). Students will:

Join ongoing research projects led by lecturers

Receive mentorship from undergraduate students

Gain real exposure to academic research and laboratory work
This track is ideal for students who want to explore university research life and build early research experience.​
2. Incidental Research Internship (Pay-per-Experiment)
A flexible, needs-based program for students who require specific laboratory experiments or data analysis to support:

School research projects
-
Science competitions
-
Independent scientific studies
Students may conduct experiments and analyses in the Chemical Engineering laboratory to strengthen the academic portfolio for competitions and higher education.​

Who Can Join?
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
-
High school students currently enrolled in Grade 10–11
-
The program is open to students who are currently studying at high schools in Surabaya
-
Full Internship program: available to participate in the internship for 1–2 months (June-July is preferred), with attendance recommended from Wednesday to Friday (3 days in a week)

Incidental Internship program: available year-round, subject to prior appointment with a supervising lecturer
-
Upon acceptance, students must submit official permission and recommendation letter from school for the agreed internship period

Demonstrate a strong commitment, discipline, and a responsible attitude toward research activities throughout the internship
